Hello 👋 I'm Niklas, a Senior Full Stack Engineer with 8+ years of experience building scalable web applications — from architecture to deployment.I work remote-first and I'm currently traveling through South America as a digital nomad. That puts me in flexible timezones — convenient overlap with both European and Americas client hours, so async-friendly collaboration just works.

My Philosophy

My philosophy is rooted in understanding the problem before touching the code. I believe great engineering starts with understanding the 'why' — the business need, the user's pain point, or the architectural constraint — before jumping to solutions.

I strive to write clean, maintainable code that not only solves today's problem but doesn't become tomorrow's tech debt. I follow established patterns and best practices, but I'm pragmatic — the goal is working software, not perfect abstractions.

What Drives Me

I'm most energized by problems that have real complexity underneath — legacy systems that need untangling, migrations that look impossible on paper, or integrating new technology like AI into products that weren't built for it. I like owning things end-to-end and leaving codebases in better shape than I found them.

Beyond the Screen

If I'm not in front of my laptop, I'm most likely travelling 🗺️⁀જ✈︎, scuba diving 🤿 or playing table tennis 🏓
